St Helens Local Plan Links
A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAIR
Thank you for visiting our website.
Originally in November 2016 we were fighting to save three areas in Rainhill which were Mill Lane/Hall Lane, Hanging Bridge Farm and Eccleston Park Golf Club (EPGC)
Thankfully, and largely due to pressure by our group, Hanging Bridge Farm and Mill Lane/Hall Lane were removed from the plan just leaving EPGC (3HS).
Our fight now is to stop this site from being removed from its protected status of Green Belt and placed in the misleading term of 'Safeguarded'
You have until 5pm on 13th March 2019 to write your objecting response to this for the Government Planning Inspector.
Don't lose this opportunity, Please click on the links above to access the form and make your voice heard.

THIS COULD BE THE FUTURE OF RAINHILL
Development of Green Belt Land at Florida Farm, Haydock.

THE HARD TRUTH
MORE HOUSES PROPOSED.
MORE SCHOOL PLACES REQUIRED.
INCREASED ROAD TRAFFIC.
Rainhill and surrounding areas will become just one massive urban sprawl with no separation between each district/ward, resulting in less parks, open green spaces to walk and exercise.
Increase in road danger, pollution and traffic density on already overcrowded roads.
Medical services would be overstretched - Whiston Hospital, A&E, Doctors, Midwifes & Dentists.
Rainhill schools already have a lack of places, how can they accommodate three more additional sites?
Local Wildlife and biodiversity subjects and species will be destroyed.
Increase in crime and anti-social behaviour which will impact on Police / Fire Services that have already been cut.
